What is TEAM?
TEAM is The Entrepreneurship Alliance of Michiana, a collaboration of three different but complementary small business support organizations. TEAM members include the North Central Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC), SCORE, and the SPARK entrepreneurship-training program for women sponsored by Saint Mary’s College.
Aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners face a variety of challenges, from writing business plans to filing taxes. Where can a blossoming businessperson receive free or low-cost advice? Start with any of the three TEAM organizations. They’ll determine who to bring into the huddle. TEAM coaches help the entrepreneurs with their game plans, so a great idea doesn’t fail due to poor execution.
“TEAM recognizes that many entrepreneurs could be best served by leveraging the unique strengths of multiple service providers. An active process of referral and collaboration between TEAM member organizations ensures that entrepreneurs and small business owners seeking guidance are connected with the best coach or coaches.” ~Alan Steele, regional director, ISBDC
What does TEAM do?
•TEAM conducts quarterly information sessions to introduce the services of member organizations, creating an easy “on ramp” to connect entrepreneurs to resources. •TEAM member organizations collaborate with one another and with community partners to deliver additional programming of value to the entrepreneurial and small business communities. •TEAM member organizations, with permission of clients, work together to provide seamless services through referrals and co-mentoring.
